Midterm Proposal (final draft)

My midterm project is going to look like this:

A piece of tofu staying on the top of a gray rack and under a piece of black chip.

The black in the dish represents the dark side of me. Sometimes I would have some "evil" thoughts in my mind, like being a badass, saying something mean to people or making a bad joke at someone. The black chip is being a small but important part in the dish which is the same as the bad girl in me.

However, at the same time, a chip is crispy so it is easy to break. My angel always beats my devil.

Tofu, as the largest ingredient in my dish, soft, white, smooth, which represents the pure in my heart. I am a person that always want to be simple and always want to maintain the childish thoughts. I am not saying that I am always the good man but in many situations, I am always the one to compromise. I don't like to mess up or argue with others.

There will be a hot peanut butter sauce pull on top of the tofu. This idea comes from one of my dad's recipe which he would stew tofu with peanut butter and soy sauce. In this case, instead of soy sauce, I would like to use cinnamon. Cinnamon is the inner bark of several trees which was once planted on the rooftop of my granny's; I would say it is a smell of childhood.

I would cook and cool the tofu, finish making the sauce before the class. But I need to reheat the sauce in class.
